The PL130 Gallery presents Developing Voices a Member Moment exhibit!
Reception March 15th 6-9pm, on view from March 7 - April 28, 2024
PhotoLounge is always on the lookout for photographers who take an intentional approach to their photography, telling stories through the images they create. Our special artist feature called Member Moments, posted on our Film Blog, is a place where we share work from dedicated photographers and speak with them about their processes. Member Moments have become a collection filled with inspiring interviews and beautiful photographs that show each photographer’s point of view.
Developing Voices is a photography show by PL130 Gallery at PhotoLounge that highlights fourteen Member Moments. The show is arranged to encourage viewers to examine each photographer's work in printed form as a body of work. The show also allows viewers to dive deeper into the work by reading the full interviews with each artist and providing feedback and reactions on the blog. The goal of Developing Voices is not only to highlight and celebrate the featured photographers journeys, but also to help viewers develop their own critical eye. Everyone is a learner and a teacher, and viewers are invited to notice themes, points of view, and perspectives that come up in a photographer's series of pictures.
Featured photographers include: Dillon McNeil, Dylan DeJong- Dougherty, Emily Rohlfing, Erica Smith, Luvleen Singh, Macon Bauer, Megan Swick, Reed Gustow, Rigers Qarri, Terry Frishman, Thomas Nassiff, Dylan Sheridan, Eli Zarzecki, and MeiXing Hunt-Babcock.
