From the Artist: "I had gotten this film originally for a project I wanted to do that fell through. It had sat so long that one day I figured what the hell, and just put it in my camera anyway! These tulips were planted here sometime around 1962 when my Oma moved to America from The Netherlands. The sun was absolutely hitting so I grabbed my camera to appreciate some things around her lovely home. When I remembered what film was in there, I was really excited to see how it would take the beautiful light I was seeing and add a twist to it. I got this film back in October and it was so perfect to see a memory from summertime in a Halloween color scheme. Very fitting for my favorite seasons mixed with my favorite holiday! I am very happy with the results of this film which is the Lomography LomoChrome in purple by the way!"
What We Liked: This photo is a great example of how to use alt-film to make a relatively simple composition new and exciting through the unnatural, other worldly colors it produces. We really like how the light shades of orange in the flower pedals contrast with the darker purples in the background. These flowers would make a perfect bouquet to bring to a party this weekend!
