What We Liked: Family photos can capture mundane moments and turn them into cherished memories. Though the photo is in black and white, it emits a warmth— the body language of the family suggests they are very in-the-moment with each other. Collecting beach treasures, the children crouch as low as they can go. Their mother reaches out to one of them (a gesture that universally reads as one of love), likely to examine what he’s found. Despite the photo’s simplicity, there is a lot to read into.
