What We Liked: Photos of your pets are irresistible and we understand how hard it must’ve been to only submit 1-3. This one caught our eye for its nostalgic and romantic quality, the lighting and posture liken the image to a renaissance painting. Showcasing a delicate use of chiaroscuro, the photographer creates a calm and reflective mood. We are able to perceive stoicism and warmth underneath the dog’s surface appearance. Meanwhile, the simple background is very home-y and honest… It’s the kind of photo you’d want in your family album and the kind of dog you want to rest your head on.
